Job Title: Controls EngineerJob DescriptionAs a Power Generation and Microgrids Control Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, automating, implementing, and commissioning advanced control systems for distributed generation. Working closely with a multidisciplinary team, you will deliver cutting-edge solutions for microgrids, data centers, and utility projects across the US, in collaboration with our engineering team based in the EU.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement detailed engineering solutions for distributed generation control systems.
- Develop PLC programming, SCADA and remote monitoring solutions, and energy storage applications.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to execute projects based on customer specifications.
- Troubleshoot and optimize designs in both office and field settings.
- Create accurate product and programming designs for internal and customer use.
- Program and commission field devices and systems, ensuring adherence to project specifications.
- Conduct Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) as required.
- Summarize data and report on test results to ensure schedules and milestones are met.
- Work with engineering drawings using ePlan and AutoCAD.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of operations and processes.
Essential Skills- Proficiency in Siemens PLC (TI Portal) programming and Inductive Automation (Ignition).
- Minimum of 2 years of related experience, or 6 years without a degree.
- Experience in SCADA integration and automation systems.
- Ability to work with structured text and ladder logic.
- Familiarity with OPC UA protocol and at least two of the following: Modbus, DNP3, IEC61850, Profinet, MQTT.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or related technical field from an accredited university.
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact with peers and management.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% of the year.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.00 - $48.00/hr.
