Job description
Job Title: Controls Test Engineer Overview / Summary We are seeking a Controls Test Engineer with strong experience in ECU-level software testing and test automation. The role involves designing, executing, and maintaining test cases and automation frameworks to ensure high-quality software delivery across engineering and release builds. Key Responsibilities Analyze software requirements to define test strategy and ensure comprehensive test coverage Design, author, and review detailed L2 test cases in TestRail, including Smoke, Sanity, Feature Regression, and Stability testing Configure and integrate test tools such as test management systems, defect tracking systems, and measurement tools Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks using Python and CAPL Execute tests for nightly engineering and release builds with proper logging and monitoring Build test harnesses to support hardware bench development and testing needs Identify, log, and track defects through resolution and retesting cycles Generate test execution reports including pass/fail metrics and coverage analysis Perform root cause analysis to identify issues in system, environment, or test scripts Required Qualifications 3–5 years of experience in software testing, especially L2 (ECU-level) testing 3+ years of experience in software verification 3+ years of experience in test automation framework development (Python, CAPL) Experience in building test benches Bachelor’s degree Preferred Qualifications 1+ year experience in Agile environment 2+ years experience using GitHub Master’s degree (preferred) What Makes HTC A Great Place To Build Your Future HTC Global Services wants you to join our team.
