Job description
Market Advanced Manufacturing

At Jacobs, we're challenging today to reinvent tomorrow by solving the world's most critical problems for thriving cities, resilient environments, mission-critical outcomes, operational advancement, scientific discovery and cutting-edge manufacturing, turning abstract ideas into realities that transform the world for good.

Your impact

This job opportunity is available at ANY location in the United States. Ideally, selected candidates will be near a JACOBS U.S. based office, but we intend to hire the "best" candidates.

Project Architect

At Jacobs, we challenge what is currently accepted, so we can shape innovative and lasting solutions in Architecture.

By joining us as a Project Architect, you’ll research, program, plan, design, and administer building projects for clients in a variety of industries (examples include data center, commercial and advanced manufacturing), apply knowledge of architectural design, work on zoning, building codes, and building systems and materials. You’ll also have the chance to utilize your technical expertise to mentor other professionals including less experienced Architects and Designers working closely with technical and engineering discipline leads.

This is a hybrid all US location opportunity, allowing candidates the flexibility to work remotely and report into a local Jacobs office for team meetings and collaboration.

Working together, we’ll help you grow and pursue what fulfills you so that we can make impacts on the future – big and small, global and local. Your role will include delivering excellence in all phases of projects, from planning through construction administration and close-out, maintaining firm-wide quality standards while working closely with technical leadership and engineering discipline leads to understand design intent and goals for successful implementation for various building design projects.

Our team is actively working on advanced technology facilities with our clients and producing cutting edge design solutions supporting the development of Open AI and other critical facilities. Join us in growing our team in this exciting market. Bring your passion for innovation, ambitious spirit, and expertise. We’ll help you thrive, pursue, and fulfill what inspires you - so we can make big impacts on the world together.

At Jacobs, we’re partnering across the globe to create the best project outcomes by maximizing the design, digital technology, and support capabilities of our Global Integrated Delivery (GID) teammates. By joining Jacobs, you’ll commit to supporting and engaging with these teams, as we work to build a company like no other.

Here's what you'll need
  • Bachelor in Architecture from an accredited Architectural Program
  • 5 years of professional experience, including strong Revit skills
  • Professional Architectural License and be able to be licensed in multiple states
  • Demonstrated program experience in the usage of AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office and Adobe suite
  • Extensive experience with building codes and other regulations required
  • Understanding of scopes of work, developing budgets, and reviewing schedules
  • Ability to work well across multiple teams and lead small architectural teams
  • Ability to travel to project sites in the US

Ideally, You’ll Also Have

  • Masters in Architecture
  • Experience with designing advanced facilities (Data Centers, Life Science or other Industrial Facilities that also include office environments)
  • Participation in professional organizations
  • LEED AP credentials
