Management Analyst
This role will focus primarily on special projects and ad hoc requests to support the CFO Division leadership and operational decisions.
Ad Hoc Requests & Strategic Decision Support
Provides advanced analysis for CFO Division leadership to support strategic decision-making. Responds to ad hoc analytical requests from CFO Division leadership and other stakeholders by researching questions, fathering and validating relevant information, performing analysis, and communicating findings. Translates findings into actionable insights. Provides timely decision support on emerging issues, operational needs, and strategic questions.
Special Projects
Leads and coordinates special projects and strategic initiatives on behalf of the CFO Division and Finance Intelligence & Controls team. Provides leadership in defining project objectives, establishing priorities, coordinating stakeholders, and guiding initiatives from concept through implementation. Facilitates collaboration across departments and campus partners, communicates project status and outcomes to leadership, and helps ensure initiatives are aligned with organizational priorities and achieve intended results.
Collaboration and Liaison
Develops and sustains strong partnerships with data owners and business process leaders across the CFO Division and the broader campus community, with a particular focus on those whose data impacts financial operations. Acts as a key point of contact to ensure that data is accurately represented, appropriately governed, and effectively leveraged for decision-making.
Expected Salary: 85,000 95,000; Commensurate with experience
Preferred: EDUCATION & TRAINING: Degree in finance, accounting, or another relevant field. College/unit-level financial operations experience at the University of Florida. Strong analytical skills. Must be proficient in Excel. Demonstrated skills in PowerBI and other data visualization tools are highly valuable. Ability to work and maintain effective working relationships with others; Ability to understand, interpret, and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures Effective communication skills, both written and oral; Complete work according to scheduled deadlines Work with limited supervision Utilize problem solving techniques and work independently.
