Job Summary
:
Bechtel is looking for an experienced Architect to join our team to provide support for the construction of a major semiconductor chip manufacturing facility. You will provide architectural coordination for the work performed by Construction and sub contractors to ensure design requirements are met. Your recommendations for resolving complex issues will help ensure client satisfaction with a project’s architectural aspects. #LI-AM3
Major Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with the AOR to resolve field RFIs, FCDs and NCRs
- Manage the technical aspects of architectural subcontractors
- Resolve complex architectural issues and interface with the client
- Supports the preparation of discipline estimates and work plan in accordance with project scope, schedule, and budget, and supports implementation and assists with performance reporting
- Performs regular site walkdowns
- Interprets new or special regulations, codes, standards, criteria, and performance data
- Coordinates with client representatives, as directed, to obtain their approval of architectural aspects of the work
- Reviews and approves key design documents, supplier drawings and data, material specifications, drawings, and change orders, for the project to which assigned
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Requires a bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Knowledge of Building codes and building permitting
- Preferred Experience with design, construction, and commissioning activities, and a thorough understanding of the roles played by other departments on projects.
- Knowledge of Semiconductor projects is highly preferred
- A professional architectural license is required.
- Familiarity with Revit, Bluebeam, Navisworks.
