Candidate Requirement :
Expert-level Database Architect with 84 months of experience in enterprise data architecture data warehousing ETL / ELT processes and Oracle Data Integrator (ODI).

Scope of Project
The consultant will act as an Expert Database Architect and Level 2 Technical Operational Support resource for NYSDOT. The role supports enterprise database systems through architecture design data integration optimization secure data management and operational troubleshooting while participating fully in the Secure Software Development Life Cycle (SSDLC).
Responsibilities :
Interact with agency and business subject matter experts to understand business needs and system requirements
Coordinate with COTS vendors and internal IT teams to design application and system solutions
Architect design document and implement enterprise database and data warehouse solutions
Design secure data infrastructure to enable authorized access to enterprise data
Identify and integrate internal and external data sources
Design implement and optimize ETL / ELT processes using Oracle Data Integrator (ODI)
Participate in SSDLC activities including debugging and solution configuration
Review refactor and performance-tune existing database code
Manage build phases and perform quality assurance to ensure adherence to architecture standards
Resolve complex database design development and production issues
Identify bugs and issues not resolved by development teams
Define requirements and installation solutions for new databases
Audit databases regularly to maintain performance quality and data integrity
Publish and present technical and design documentation
Coordinate across business vendor and IT teams to meet project milestones
Mentor and train staff to ensure knowledge transfer
Use ticketing systems to track incidents service requests changes and deployments
Required / Preferred Skills :
84 months experience developing SQL-based data integrations for heterogeneous systems and business intelligence
84 months experience working with business SMEs COTS vendors and technology teams to design enterprise data solutions
84 months experience architecting designing documenting and implementing data warehousing and system integrations
84 months experience in data modeling and designing normalized enterprise data warehouse environments
72 months experience performing comparative analysis of transactional databases and data warehouses
60 months experience in analytical reasoning and data-driven problem solving
48 months experience implementing data error recovery and cleanup procedures
24 months experience integrating with Kafka
Strong hands-on experience with Oracle DB MS SQL Server PL / SQL and Oracle Data Integrator (ODI)
