Our Client, a Clinical Laboratory company, is looking for an Accessioner I for their Shelton, CT location.

Responsibilities:

• Receives and triages all specimens for clinical testing.
• Manages clinical information within LIMS database.
• Collaborates with various departments to ensure testing accuracy.
• Accession incoming specimens and route specimens to the appropriate laboratory or send them out to the appropriate satellite facility.
• Prepare specimens for the laboratory prior to laboratory processing/testing, including sorting and labeling specimens and accompanying paperwork.
• Data enter specimens, patient, and client information from specimen requisitions into the laboratory database.
• Identify, alert, and hold specimens with incomplete processing information until resolved.
• Verify requisitions are entered correctly into the database.
• Scan, copy, and file specimen paperwork.
• Perform other duties such as preparing labels and forms for the accessioning process.

Requirements:
