Pay Range:$44.57 - $62.80 The Cybersecurity Engineer II builds and implements security defenses to protecting the organization’s computer systems, networks and data from cyber threats and unauthorized access. The Engineer II leads implementation of secure systems as well as vulnerability monitoring, security incident investigation and response, remediation of threats and ensuring compliance with security regulations. The Engineer II leads security testing, performs regular threat analysis and continuously updates defenses to stay ahead of evolving threats.

Key Essential Functions and Accountabilities of the Job
- Lead monitoring, mitigation, remediation and documentation of cyber security incidents.
- Take ownership of moderate to complex incident investigations and response.
- Conduct threat analysis, risk assessments and vulnerability testing to identify areas of improvement.
- Perform regular security assessments and help prioritize remediation efforts.
- Lead development of technical solutions and implementation of new security tools to help mitigate security
- vulnerabilities and automate repeatable tasks.
- Determine appropriate, standardized configurations for security infrastructure devices, systems and
- services and troubleshoot systems as needed.
- Identify and define system security requirements, collaborating with the engineering team to operationalize
- requirements in computer and network services ensuring proper security compliance.
- Develop security policies, standards, and procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security into business processes and IT projects.
- Develop and lead security awareness training and initiatives for staff and stakeholders.
- Prepare reports and documentation for management and compliance purposes.
- Participate in internal and external audits, compliance reviews, and regulatory meetings related to
- cybersecurity.
- Mentor and train Engineer I staff.

Education, Certifications, and Licenses Required
Bachelor’s degree required.
Tier II or Tier III certifications such as CompTIA CySA+, CompTIA PenTest+, CompTIA SecurityX , CISM, CISA, CWSP, CEH, ECSA, CISSP, GCIA, CRISC, CCSP preferred. 2 or more active, relevant Tier II or Tier III cybersecurity/information security certifications may be counted as a year of experience.
Experience Required
4+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience, including incident response and vulnerability management.
Experience in healthcare environment preferred.
Knowledge of
Technical knowledge of service systems and operating system security
Understanding of with network security and network technologies and network operating systems as it relates to security, monitoring, auditing
Understanding of latest security principles, techniques and protocols, and how those are operationalized in organizational systems
Skills in
Problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including communication with a variety of audiences
Strong attention to detail
Ability to
Work collaboratively with the IT operations and business operations teams.
Learn quickly and adapt to changing technologies, techniques, and procedures used by threat actors.

Learn healthcare-specific cybersecurity requirements
