Install, configure, and maintain database systems, including but not limited to MSSQL and MySQL
Create and manage database schemas, tables, indexes, and other database objects
Perform regular database performance tuning, optimization, and capacity planning
Implement and maintain database security, including user access management, data encryption, and backups
Monitor and troubleshoot database issues, including performance bottlenecks, errors, and data inconsistencies
Plan and execute database backup and recovery strategies to ensure data protection and disaster recovery
Collaborate with development teams to design and implement efficient and scalable database solutions
Perform data migrations, transformations, and integrations between different database systems
Develop and maintain database documentation, including data dictionaries, data flow diagrams, and standard operating procedures
Stay up to date with the latest trends and advancements in database technologies and best practices
Automation of data ingest and cleanup and more
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Proven experience as a Database Administrator or in a similar role
Strong knowledge of database management systems (e.g. MS SQL, MySQL, Times10, NoSQL, including installation, configuration, and maintenance
Proficient in writing and optimizing SQL queries
Solid understanding of database security, backup and recovery, and performance tuning techniques
Experience with database monitoring and troubleshooting tools
Familiarity with data integration and ETL processes
