Mark Thomas is hiring an experienced Transportation Design Manager to the team! The role of the Design Manager is to lead and manage the design solutions and execution of deliverables on a wide variety of projects, particularly the most complex projects. Further, the Design Manager has developed an outstanding internal reputation as a "go to" person for valuable input and in demand as a design project leader. Successful candidates can demonstrate broad and advanced knowledge of technical best practices, internal/external quality control measures, standard details & specifications for the successful completion of one or more projects. The Design Manager has also established an extensive external reputation for technical knowledge, depth and experience within the A/E/C industry and marketplace.
The supervisory responsibilities can include the training, development and mentoring of direct reports and assigned staff for responsible projects. This individual will need to demonstrate adequate skills for effective communications with both upper and lower levels of staff, clients and sub-consultants in the performance of duties. The Design Manager has the awareness and responsibility for achieving objectives regarding project scopes, budgets and schedules as well.
