Job Description Summary : This position provides support within the OhioHealth Learning, Culture, and Belonging (LCB) department and the organization through training and education of patient care associates. He / she is also responsible for managing resources and seeking opportunities for program development, improvement, and cost savings. He / she may also serve as the subject matter expert for various project teams that require the skills of this role.
Responsibilities And Duties :
- Serves as an education and development resource for OhioHealth clinical business units.
- Acts as liaison to match needs of clinical staff with resources from Learning, Culture, and Belonging (LCB).
- Facilitates centralized orientation programs.
- Ensures standardization of education including but not limited to orientation, annual competency assessment, regulatory requirements, and associate development.
- Assists in the design of education based on educational standards, evidenced based practice, and OhioHealth policy.
- Project Management :
- Manages projects : determines needs, adheres to allotted resources, maintains project timelines, and generates progress reports as requested.
- Prioritizes and delegates work of others on the team.
- Identifies the need for additional tools and resources that will enable the development of creative solutions for projects / problems.
- Provides information for leadership to negotiate and collaborate with executive sponsors and stakeholders to achieve project success.
- Adheres to educational principles and guidelines to support achievement of desired outcomes.
- Leadership :
- Actively participates on committees, councils, clinical teams, and process improvement initiatives that impact department and system initiatives.
- Supports the team in the development and growth of current programs.
- Participates in precepting new team members.
- Communication :
- Assists in differentiating between education and performance gaps. Communicates findings with appropriate unit leadership.
- Assists in assuring standardization of education by collaborating with educators across the system.
- Communicates efficiently and effectively with individuals and team members.
- Change Management :
- Facilitates and supports change through effective communication with internal team members and system educators.
- Demonstrates positive attitude toward system change.
Minimum Qualifications : Bachelor's Degree (Required)
Additional Job Description :
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE : Patient care delivery skills. Strong communication skills. Ability to assess a target audience and determine appropriate styles of communication which will be effective. Knowledge in the areas of conflict resolution and customer satisfaction. Software knowledge, e.g. MS Office.
