Job description

Skydio Deployment Coordinator

Skydio is the leading US drone company and the world leader in autonomous flight, the key technology for the future of drones and aerial mobility. The Skydio team combines deep expertise in artificial intelligence, best-in-class hardware and software product development, operational excellence, and customer obsession to empower a broader, more diverse audience of drone users, from utility inspectors to first responders, soldiers in battlefield scenarios, and beyond.

About the Role

The Deployment Coordinator is a tactical project manager responsible for driving successful dock deployments across an assigned region or "book of business". Acting as the quarterback between internal teams, partners, and customers, you'll coordinate schedules, track progress, and remove blockers to ensure on-time, high-quality deployments. This is a hands-on, detail-focused role suited for someone who thrives in fast-paced field operations, enjoys managing logistics, and is comfortable with basic technical problem solving.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • Own deployment timelines, task tracking, and day-to-day execution from scheduling and shipping through install and go-live.

  • Coordinate across Deployment Engineers, Manufacturing, Solution Engineers, Support, Training, partners, and customers to keep projects on track.

  • Serve as the central point of contact for deployment logistics, status updates, and scheduling.

  • Ensure site readiness, communicate requirements, and drive follow-through on customer or partner action items.

  • Maintain accurate project data in Salesforce and other systems of record, while providing regular updates and surfacing risks early.

  • Capture deployment checklists, documentation, and photos for revenue recognition, and ensure smooth handoff to account/support teams.

  • Identify process bottlenecks, recurring blockers, or field insights and share them to improve deployment playbooks and SOPs.

  • Contribute to defining and refining deployment workflows as the role and organization evolve.

What Makes You a Good Fit

  • 4+ years in project coordination, field operations, or technical customer delivery (experience with drones, IoT, or field technology a plus).

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-through.

  • Excellent communicator who can drive accountability across multiple teams.

  • Comfort with field logistics, troubleshooting, and basic technical concepts (power, conduit, networking).

  • Proficiency with Salesforce, Google Sheets, Slack, or similar tools.

  • Ability to travel 2530%, with flexibility for periods of increased travel based on customer needs.

  • Bonus: Experience with public safety agencies or utilities, and/or FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate.

Why This Role is Unique

This is a newly created role at Skydio, giving you the opportunity to help define how deployments are executed at scale. The ideal candidate is not only a strong executor but also energized by building new processes, shaping best practices, and helping write the playbooknot just following it.

Compensation: At Skydio, our compensation packages for regular, full-time employees include competitive base salaries, equity in the form of stock options, and comprehensive benefits packages. Compensation will vary based on factors, including skill level, proficiencies, transferable knowledge, and experience. Relocation assistance may also be provided for eligible roles. The annual base salary range for this position is $104,000 - $135,000*. Fundamentally, we believe that equity is the key to long-term financial growth, and we ensure all regular, full-time employees have the opportunity to significantly benefit from the company's success. Regular, full-time employees are eligible to enroll in the Company's group health insurance plans. Regular, full-time employees are eligible to receive the following benefits: Paid vacation time, sick leave, holiday pay and 401K savings plan. This position and all associated benefits are subject to applicable federal, state, and local laws, as well as the Company's policies and eligibility criteria.

*Compensation for certain positions may vary based on the position's location.
