About the RoleWe are seeking a seasoned Senior Designer with strong expertise in Plant 3D and Civil 3D to lead design efforts on complex utility and infrastructure projects. This role requires a hands-on technical leader who can drive design accuracy, support project delivery, and mentor junior team members.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead advanced piping and civil design for transmission and facility projectsDevelop and review 3D models, layouts, and detailed design drawingsProduce plan and profile drawings, P&IDs, and as-built documentationCoordinate with engineering teams to ensure design intent and project timelines are metConduct design and model reviews, ensuring compliance with standards and specificationsMentor and guide junior and mid-level designersPerform field visits to validate site conditions and support design accuracySupport QA / QC processes and ensure high-quality deliverables
Qualifications5 + years of professional design experienceProven experience in utility, infrastructure, or industrial projectsDemonstrated leadership in design execution and team coordinationStrong understanding of engineering drawing standards and construction practicesAbility to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Required Software ExperienceAutoCAD Plant 3D (expert level, hands-on)AutoCAD Civil 3D (expert level, hands-on)Strong experience with P&IDs, piping layouts, and plan / profile development
PreferredAveva E3D or similar 3D modeling platformsExperience working on utility or gas transmission projectsFamiliarity with industry codes and standards (API, ASME, ANSI)
