Job description

Client Development Coordinator

We have an exciting opportunity for a Client Development Coordinator in the Atlanta, Austin, Chicago, Houston, New York, or Washington, DC office at Eversheds Sutherland (US) LLP. We are searching for someone who wants to be a valued contributor and member of a talented and dynamic team of lawyers, paralegals and business professionals.

The Client Development Coordinator is responsible for the tactical execution of business development strategy across the Energy practice and sector and the Litigation practice. This includes supporting new business proposals, the creation of presentations and other marketing materials and client relationship development. The Client Development Coordinator will support individual, practice group, department, and firm strategic efforts.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Provide support to Client Development leaders of assigned practice groups and teams; attend relevant group/team meetings and execute resulting action items.
  • Develop and maintain content for website, brochures, case studies, blogs, and other relevant marketing collateral.
  • Support the development of RFPs, proposals, and pitches by drafting and editing materials and coordinating responses from other firm administrative and practice groups as needed.
  • Support planning and execution of seminars, conference/association sponsorships, and other firm events, including assisting with logistics, advertising, and attorney participation.
  • Coordinate large-scale competitive intelligence requests with the Client Development Research Team and conduct minor research requests as needed.
  • Assist with or implement other special projects or tasks as needed and as assigned by Client Development Managers, Directors, or CBDMO.
  • Serve as back-up support to the Client Development Team during times when workloads are heavy, assistants are out of the office, or as needed.
  • Coordinate client-facing webinar presentations, support PowerPoint development, invitations mailing lists, and post-event follow-up.
  • Draft and edit responses for submissions to listings and directories (Chambers, Legal 500, etc.) as needed for assigned practice groups and teams.
  • Leverage AI and other technologies to optimize processes, enhance deliverables, and improve the efficiency of marketing and research activities
  • Be a student of the Firm: take advantage of opportunities to learn the Firm's services, as well as market and industry trends.

Leadership:

  • Demonstrate behaviors guided by our Firm values: Collaborative, Creative, Professional, Inclusive, and Open.
  • Actively engage with others.
  • Demonstrate a collaborative and solution-oriented attitude.
  • Deliver quality work product.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Education:

  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Business, Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or a similar field is required.

Experience:

  • Two to three years of experience in marketing and business development is needed. Previous experience in a multi-office law firm or other professional services environment is desired.

Skills:

  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills are required. Must be a self-starter who is highly organized and comfortable in a deadline intensive, fast-paced environment. Attention to detail, including excellent proofing and editing skills, is required. Must be able to prioritize and manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude. Familiarity with client/contact relationship management databases, such as InterAction, is a plus. Strong Microsoft Office capabilities (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) are required. The ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with appropriate discretion is also required.

This is a hybrid role and will require on-site presence 3 days per week. The salary ranges for this position vary depending on the geographic location and other factors such as experience, internal equity, market data, and job-related considerations. The range for this position is from $65,000 - $75,000, with offers contingent upon the various factors. The firm's compensation strategy includes not just a base salary but also comprehensive benefits such as healthcare, paid time off, discretionary merit bonuses, life and disability insurance, retirement plans and tailored learning opportunities.
