Job description

Senior Business Development Coordinator

As Senior Business Development Coordinator, you will coordinate business development strategies, client databases, and pursuit management activities.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in the coordination of the company-wide business development program.
  • Performs customer outreach on potential new customers.
  • Discusses customers' preferred requirements and arranges for meetings between prospective customers and representatives of various company functional areas.
  • Compiles and analyzes statistics pertinent to the company's business development.
  • Supports daily correspondence and activities of business development leadership.
  • Supports pipeline database development and data entry.
  • Updates database with pursuit notes and activities.
  • Manages event registration, dues, sponsorships and memberships.
  • Research existing and prospective clients and projects to support business strategy.
  • Works closely with preconstruction and proposal teams to coordinate pursuit management activities.
  • Maintains meeting calendars, prepares meeting agendas and assists with material development.
  • Attends and participates in industry outreach and events as needed.
  • Local/regional travel for industry events and related activities.
  • Performs additional assignments per management's direction.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 2+ years' experience in sales, business development, market research, or related, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Sales or Business Development experience.
  • Three years plus of experience in sales, business development, administration and/or related job roles.
  • Prior experience in the construction industry.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent multi-tasking and prioritizing skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (heavy on excel and PowerPoint).

Additional Information:

  • Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.
  • The position is based in our Irvine, CA office.
  • This position does not include sponsorship for a United States work authorization.

The salary range for this position is between $95,000-$115,000 per year depending on experience and/or education.
