Summary

The Development Coordinator plays an important role by supporting the Development team through volunteer management, community engagement, donor relations support, marketing and communications assistance, and special events coordination. This role also represents The Warren Center within the community and helps expand awareness of the organization's mission.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Coordinate and manage volunteer engagement efforts, including recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, communication, and stewardship of individual and corporate volunteer groups and serving as the primary point of contact.
  • Manage a portfolio of annual giving donors, cultivating relationships, stewarding existing gifts, and soliciting annual philanthropic support.
  • Assist in planning and executing fundraising and friend-raising events including managing invitation lists, RSVPs, guest registration, and day-of logistics.
  • Represent The Warren Center at community networking events, chamber meetings, and outreach opportunities to increase visibility and build relationships.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with community partners, corporate contacts, and local organizations.
  • Support sponsorship outreach efforts and assist with fulfillment of sponsor benefits.
  • Assist with donor stewardship efforts including preparation of acknowledgement letters and follow-up communications.
  • Help prepare materials for donor meetings and assemble presentations for Advancement Committee members and staff.
  • Work collaboratively with the marketing team.
  • Assist in tracking volunteer engagement metrics and community outreach efforts.
  • Provide administrative assistance to the fundraising team in order to facilitate meeting proposal and report deadlines and the timely production of correspondence.

  • Team player who will productively engage with others at varying levels of seniority within and outside The Warren Center.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite: including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneDrive, and Teams.

Education And Experience

  • Required: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent.
  • Preferred: Minimum three (2) years in an advancement or development office.
  • Required: Proven track record of managing relationships with key stakeholders and donors.
  • Preferred: Knowledge of Bloomerang or similar donor database and prospect research tools.
