SCOPE OF WORKThe purpose of this position is to provide CSET/SCC Trainees with comprehensive career placement and employment assistance. The incumbent is responsible for developing and maintaining employer relationships, identifying and securing employment opportunities, connecting Trainees with appropriate job openings, marketing CSET/SCC programs and services to prospective employers, and coordinating employment-related resources to support successful job placement and retention.ACCOUNTABILITIESDevelops employment opportunities and facilitates successful placement of SCC Trainees into unsubsidized employment by matching Trainee skills/experience and interests/qualifications with employer needs and availabilityEstablishes and maintains ongoing relationships with employers, businesses, industry representatives, workforce partners, and training agencies to identify employment opportunities and promote the hiring of SCC TraineesConducts proactive employer outreach, including cold calls, employer visits, networking, job fairs, and other business engagement activities to develop job leads and expand employment opportunities for TraineesMarkets SCC programs, Trainee skills, and available employment support services to prospective employers; communicates program benefits and works with employers to identify and address workforce needsResearches employment opportunities through employers, online job boards, CalJOBS, partner agencies, labor market information, and other available resources; This position is classified as Non-Exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and is eligible for overtime pay in accordance with California and federal law.
