The Position : The Design Engineer is responsible for preparing engineering designs, technical studies, sketches, and maps for a variety of projects. This includes collaborating with internal staff & external consultants to help deliver the best possible materials to the client.

Key Responsibilities :

• Develop drawings and design layouts for engineering projects to ensure the projects specifications are upheld,
• Plan, prepare and interpret preliminary layouts and design drawings from engineering notes, sketches or drawings,
• Use standard drafting principles to complete drawings in AutoCAD or CartoPac Enterprise,
• Coordinate with the engineering team to ensure deadlines are met and the intent of the design are sustained throughout the project,
• Review drawings for accuracy and completeness with special attention to the project specifications and standards,
• Research code issues and work with different city, county, and state agencies,
• Complete any project specific issues that arise during a project.
