Job description

About the Opportunity

Are you a Civil Engineer (PE) looking for a role where you can take ownership of your work, collaborate with talented peers, and enjoy real work-life balance?
We’re partnered with a highly regarded, employee-owned engineering firm that has been a trusted name across the Southeast for more than 70 years. The company continues to grow and is seeking a Civil Engineer (PE) with 5–10 years of experience to join its expanding team.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you’ll take the lead on project design and land development efforts while applying your technical expertise in hydrology and hydraulics (HEC-RAS) and AutoCAD Civil 3D. You’ll collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver infrastructure projects that make a lasting impact on local communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support design and development of civil engineering projects.

  • Prepare plans, specifications, and reports for land development and site design projects.

  • Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic analyses using HEC-RAS and related tools.

  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure quality, efficiency, and regulatory compliance.

  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to ongoing team development.

What Sets This Firm Apart

This company is 100% employee-owned — meaning every employee has a direct stake in the firm’s success. Engineers here stay for the long term due to the strong culture, flexibility, and stability the firm provides.

Why You’ll Love Working Here:

  • Collaborative, family-like environment with low turnover.

  • Flexible scheduling options, including condensed workweeks and early Fridays.

  • Comprehensive benefits package and professional development support.

  • Opportunity to grow your career within a respected and stable organization.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.

  • 5–10 years of experience in civil site design and land development.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and HEC-RAS.

  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Ready to Take the Next Step?

If you’re looking for an opportunity that combines technical challenge, professional growth, and genuine work-life balance, we’d love to connect.

If you have any questions contact hannah.loethengogpac or (573) 415-1103
