**Quality Assurance Process Engineer Specialist: Loves Park, IL
**
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Quality Assurance Specialist / Process Engineer to join our growing team at a precision machining manufacturer. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional with a deep understanding of ISO standards, quality management systems, and manufacturing process improvements. **Key Responsibilities:
**
Serve as company representative for ISO 9001 as QMS lead
Conduct internal audits, maintain QMS documentation, and resolve nonconformities
Write work instructions and SOPs, develop new quality policies
Train staff on quality procedures and QMS compliance
Collect and analyze quality metrics; report KPIs monthly and annually
Write and maintain CMM programs
Oversee final inspection, shipping, and receiving processes
Ensure calibration of all measurement and testing equipment
Conduct root cause analysis and drive corrective/preventive actions
Collaborate on PPAP submissions and customer specifications
Host or attend customer visits as needed
Support machinists and operators with programming, setup, and troubleshooting
Document and enhance machining processes for repeatability and efficiency
Perform capability studies on machines and critical parts
Audit manufacturing processes for compliance and optimization
Collaborate with Cost Engineering and Production to streamline methods
Recommend manufacturing methods for new jobs and assess fit for production
**Skills & Experience:
**
**Education
**: Associate’s degree in engineering or manufacturing operations, strongly preferred
**Experience
**: 5+ years in a quality-focused supervisory role, required; Previous machining experience, strongly preferred
**Knowledge:
**Strong background in ISO 9001 &/or 9002, quality systems & audit management, CMM programming, GD&T, & PPAP processes, required
**Software:
**PC-DMIS & Microsoft Office Suite, strongly preferred
