Compensantion Range: $75,000 - $95,000

Job Purpose

Develop, maintain, and expand key strategic relationships with Military customers and achieve sales target objectives in assigned territory. This position will build a rapport with current and potential Bren-Tronics customers, government agencies and US Department of Defense Commands while establishing collaborative relationships within industry to achieve sales objectives. Lead the customer account planning cycle and ensure assigned customer needs and expectations are met by the company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work as part of the Bren-Tronics sales and business development team to bring new, near term as well as future business opportunities for off-the-shelf as well as customer specific solutions across Military users and program offices.
  • Collaborate with the customer to define their requirements and in turn, with sales and engineering/program management teams to identify a strong requirement that can be delivered profitably while meeting the customers’ expectations.
  • Develop internal and external solution collateral to aid both customers and other sales team members to concisely capture general solution requirements that can then be tailored, if needed, for customer bespoke needs.
  • Travel (continental US) is expected both individually as well as part of the sales/business development team to customers as well as customer facing venues and shows throughout the year (estimate 50-75% travel).
  • Pursue new and existing opportunities in core battery and charger platforms as well as targeted growth areas in larger capacity batteries and systems for both military and industrial/commercial use.
  • Support ideation and execution for both internal team members as well as external customers by bringing guidance to best fit the needs of the customer for solutions, sales system integration white papers, customer sales support, and trade show support.
  • Work in concert with the management team to support conferences, exhibitions, exercises, and customer engagements.
  • Advise the Senior Sales Managers and VP Business Development on Military/DoD practices and procedures to include but not limited to acquisitions and government contracting.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years sales and marketing -or- equivalent military experience in lieu of industry experience.
  • Experience in the energy sector preferred.
  • Military practical knowledge and DOD base access highly preferred.
