This role manages a team of 5–10 technicians and is accountable for day-to-day production performance, process optimization, and overall process health. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and proper use of required safety equipment in accordance with job safety analyses and departmental procedures Maintain a strong working knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements and company quality policies , ensuring adherence to established work instructions and procedures Lead and manage the pourline process engineering team, including: Assigning work and priorities Coaching, mentoring, and training team members Supporting professional development and cross-training Oversee and optimize production schedules to improve yield, throughput, and overall process efficiency Develop, modify, and enhance reporting systems to support new processes, materials, and product specifications Lead the design, development, and implementation of new machinery and process systems Drive process improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, and cost reduction Author, review, and update standard operating procedures and process documentation Ensure personnel are properly trained on processes, equipment, and procedures Lead the development and modification of formulations to meet customer and organizational requirements Promote and enforce 5S and workplace organization standards within the department Ensure the pourline area remains clean, organized, and compliant with operational standards Coordinate cross-training across roles to support operational flexibility Collaborate with maintenance, quality, and production leadership to ensure overall process stability Perform additional duties as assigned by plant leadership Supervisory Responsibilities This position has direct supervisory responsibility for a team of approximately 5–10 employees . Qualifications To perform this role successfully, an individual must be able to execute each essential function effectively.
