/Requirements Lincoln Land Community College is currently accepting applications for a Student Worker to provide clerical assistance to the Records department and customer service to all students, staff, faculty and visitors.

Student Workers will perform the following duties:
  • Filing and scanning
  • Processing mail; taking/picking up mail and delivering it to mail room and sorting mail

All LLCC Student Workers have the following institutional responsibilities:
  • Uphold LLCC’s mission, as well as certain standards of conduct within the College and in dealings with students, staff, faculty and the general public.
  • Responsible for compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and other regulations with regard to confidentiality of and access to student and other institutional records.

Student Workers will be paid minimum wage. Only students eligible for Federal Work Study will be considered for this position. Students will be scheduled to work up to 20 hours per week during office hours, which are Monday-Thursday 8AM-6PM and Friday 8AM-5PM, at the main campus.

Requirements include the following:
  • Must maintain satisfactory academic progress
  • Must be enrolled at least half-time (6 credit hours) during the semester of employment, with the exception of summer term
  • Complete LLCC’s mandatory harassment prevention training within 30 days of employment
  • Minimum GPA 2.0
  • Dependable and can follow directions (long hours of filing) and work alone
  • Some experience in filing (knowing alphabet) (we will teach procedures)
  • Basic computer skills required.


Employment will be contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check.

It’s a smart and simple way to save money while taking care of your loved ones so you can continue to work.Health Savings Account (HSA)Employees on the HDHP will be assigned a health savings account through HealthEquity. LLCC will contribute a total of $3,100 to your HSA during fiscal year 2026. This contribution will be made in two installments – July 15, 2025, and Jan. 15, 2026. The dollar amount of the installment will be based on your active employment during the six-month installment period. This tax-free contribution can be used to offset your out-of-pocket costs related to health, dental and vision expenses. Retirement planThe State Universities Retirement System (SURS) covers LLCC employees. SURS contributions are deducted on a pre-tax basis. The employee may choose from three different retirement plans. SURS does not coordinate with Social Security and, consequently, there is no payroll deduction for FICA. However, there is a payroll deduction requirement of 1.45% of gross wages for Medicare.Deferred compensationLLCC offers employees the opportunity to participate in a voluntary deferred compensation plan. We offer a 403(b) plan, 457 plan, Roth IRA (not tax deferred) and a no-load profile plan.LLCC tuition waiverStarting or continuing education is highly valued at LLCC. Benefit-eligible employees, their spouses and qualified dependents are eligible to use a tuition waiver which waives the standard tuition and fees for LLCC credited courses.Educational assistanceBenefit-eligible employees have access to up to $3,000 per year towards tuition at another educational institution, textbooks, workshops, seminars, and conferences. Additionally, certification and re-certification for professional organizations may also be eligible. Class release timeTo accommodate an employee work schedule, paid time can be requested to attend classes by submitting an approved Class Release Time form.
