Position Summary:

• IQ Fiber is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Assistant Controller to support the Controller in overseeing all accounting operations.
• This role will lead key aspects of the monthly close, audit, and reporting processes while managing a team.
• This is a high-visibility role with significant growth opportunity, designed for a candidate who can develop into the Controller position in the future as the company continues to scale.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness Supervise and develop members of the Accounting team, providing guidance, training, and performance management Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with US GAAP Support Finance and the Controller in delivering timely and accurate internal and external financial reporting Lead key aspects of the annual audit process, including coordination with external auditors and preparation of audit schedules Implement and ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures, and support ongoing process improvements Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analyses Partner cross-functionally with Finance and operational teams to support budgeting, reforecasting, and business initiatives Assist in the optimization of accounting systems and processes as the company scales Stay current on accounting standards and regulatory requirements, particularly as they relate to the telecommunications industry Assist with the integration and accounting treatment of potential future M&A Assist with other ad hoc projects as needed Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA required). 6–10+ years of progressive accounting experience, telecommunication industry experience strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
• Strong technical accounting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organization.
• Hands-on experience with NetSuite or similar ERP system is required.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines independently.
• Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
