Our client, a growing and operationally complex manufacturing company, is seeking a Corporate Controller to oversee financial operations across multiple production sites nationwide. This is a highly visible and strategic role responsible for elevating financial reporting, strengthening internal controls, and partnering with plant leadership to drive performance and efficiency. The ideal candidate will bring strong manufacturing accounting expertise and a hands-on, collaborative leadership style. A CPA is strongly preferred.

Job Details
Key Responsibilities
Provide financial leadership and oversight for multiple manufacturing facilities, serving as the primary point of contact for plant controllers.
Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and consistency of site-level monthly closes, financial statements, and operational reporting.
Standardize accounting processes, controls, and procedures across all plants to ensure compliance with GAAP and corporate policies.
Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities, partnering closely with operations, supply chain, and executive leadership.
Analyze cost accounting, inventory valuation, standard costing, and manufacturing variances; present insights to drive operational optimization.
Support capital expenditure planning and ROI analysis for multi-site projects.
Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring strong internal controls and risk mitigation across all facilities.
Mentor and develop plant controllers and site-level accounting teams, building a high-performance, collaborative finance organization.
Support ERP optimization and data integrity improvements across plants.
Contribute to strategic initiatives, including M&A integration, process automation, and scalability efforts.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA strongly preferred.
8–12+ years of progressive accounting / finance experience, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing environment.
Experience overseeing multi-site or multi-plant operations is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of GAAP, cost accounting, inventory accounting, and internal controls.
Proven leadership abilities, with experience managing and developing distributed teams.
Excellent analytical, communication, and business partnering skills.
Ability to travel periodically to domestic plant locations.
