Job Description:
As a Senior .NET Developer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and supporting enterprise-grade applications within a mission-driven environment. You will contribute to the modernization of application delivery processes by advancing DevOps practices, implementing automation strategies, and delivering secure, scalable, and high-quality software solutions. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to enhance development efficiency, improve system reliability, and support large-scale data collection and reporting platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable DevOps processes to support enterprise application development and deployment
- Lead automation initiatives, CI/CD pipeline implementations, and cloud-based development strategies
- Centralize and manage source code repositories using GitHub, GitHub Enterprise, or Azure DevOps
- Evaluate and improve coding standards through automated code quality and security scanning tools
- Proactively identify and remediate technical debt while promoting continuous improvement practices
- Optimize source control workflows, including branching, merging, and release management strategies
- Automate application build, testing, and deployment processes to improve efficiency and consistency
- Enhance unit testing and integration testing coverage to improve application reliability and performance
- Design and develop complex business solutions using .NET Core and industry-standard development patterns
- Collaborate with development, testing, and operations teams to ensure successful solution delivery
- Ensure applications adhere to secure coding standards, data protection requirements, and security best practices
- Support troubleshooting, performance tuning, and ongoing maintenance of enterprise applications
- Participate in technical planning, code reviews, and architecture discussions
Required Skills, Experiences, Education, and Competencies:
- Strong experience in C#, ASP.NET, MVC, and .NET Core application development
- Extensive knowledge of software design patterns and enterprise application architecture
- Experience implementing secure coding practices, static code analysis, encryption, and data protection controls
- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, Git, GitHub Enterprise, GitHub Actions, and CI/CD pipelines
- Strong experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD), automated testing, and deployment gating practices
- Proficiency in T-SQL and Microsoft SQL Server database development and optimization
- Experience using code quality, vulnerability scanning, and application security tools
- Knowledge of code branching, merge strategies, release management, and deployment automation
- Strong understanding of DevOps principles and modern software delivery methodologies
- Experience developing and supporting large-scale enterprise applications
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional Agile teams
- Experience with cloud technologies and modern application hosting platforms (preferred)
- Experience supporting large-scale data collection, reporting, or analytics applications (preferred)
- Experience leading development modernization and DevOps transformation initiatives (preferred)
- Familiarity with enterprise security and compliance requirements (preferred)
The hourly range for roles of this nature are $45.00 to $80.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills, experience, location, and industry.
