Senior Software Developer

Adaptive Solutions Group is a premier provider of information technology personnel. We provide a variety of technical professionals for contract, contract-to-hire, and direct placement positions with companies throughout the St. Louis and Kansas City areas.

ASG is seeking a Senior Software Developer to join our team.

Responsibilities
  • Contribute as a senior member of the development team to deliver sprint and project commitments on time
  • Support workload balance across the team and assist in keeping delivery efforts on track
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced Agile/Scrum environment
  • Follow software development life cycle standards, established testing practices, and internal development procedures
  • Perform development tasks according to coding and documentation standards
  • Contribute ideas to improve technical solutions with a focus on performance, efficiency, and business value
  • Analyze business requirements and develop effective technical solutions
  • Identify project issues and recommend workarounds, preventive measures, and long-term solutions
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive technical feedback
  • Contribute to software and system documentation in alignment with team standards
  • Troubleshoot existing issues and recommend fixes and enhancements
  • Anticipate, identify, and escalate project risks and delivery concerns as needed
  • Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance and training
  • Recommend new approaches and processes that improve quality, scalability, and productivity
  • Lead efforts to incorporate AI tools and practices throughout the software development life cycle to improve team efficiency
  • Contribute to AI usage standards, development guidance, and best practices for coding assistants and automation tools
  • Identify opportunities to apply AI agents or automation solutions within development or business processes

Required Qualifications
  • 5 to 8 years of software development experience
  • Strong proficiency with C#, .NET, RESTful APIs, and SQL
  • Proficiency with Git and GitHub
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles
  • Extensive knowledge of Agile methodologies, Scrum practices, and software development life cycle processes
  • Ability to translate business requirements into scalable and sustainable software solutions
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong documentation, organizational, and time management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Experience using AI development tools such as coding assistants, code generation tools, or similar platforms

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience mentoring developers and supporting technical growth across a team
  • Experience contributing to development standards, pull request practices, and source control governance
  • Experience identifying and implementing process improvements across the SDLC
  • Familiarity with tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Azure AI services, or similar AI-assisted development platforms
  • Ability to evaluate long-term technical decisions with scalability, maintainability, and efficiency in mind
