Position Summary : The EHS Manager leads Barr's Environmental, Health, and Safety programs, including safety, industrial hygiene, emergency response, OSHA compliance, Process Safety Management (PSM), and environmental compliance. This role ensures regulatory adherence, fosters a strong safety culture, and manages a high-performing team to drive continuous improvement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Develop, implement, and maintain EHS management systems; monitor effectiveness and recommend improvements.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable EHS regulations; track legislative changes and advise leadership.
- Provide technical EHS support across the organization; maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
- Prepare and manage environmental permits and maintain agency relationships.
- Oversee compliance with OSHA PSM and EPA RMP standards, including hazard analysis, risk assessments, audits, and emergency response planning.
- Lead accident investigations, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Develop EHS policies, programs, and training; set annual goals and drive achievement.
- Support engineering controls to minimize hazards and ensure environmental compliance.
- Perform risk assessments for new installations, processes, and acquisitions.
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting for regulatory and internal requirements.
Qualifications / Experience :
Bachelor's degree in Safety Science, Engineering, or related field.
