Summary
The Carpenter Apprentice will be enrolled in a 2-year program and will be trained under capable and experienced journey workers in the tasks of constructing, erecting, stripping, and / or repairing structures of steel, wood or plywood using carpenter’s hand and power tools conforming to construction documents. This position will be exposed to the following duties and will participate in classroom and supplemental training.
Roles and Responsibilities
Acquires the skills to become a Carpenter by learning / helping in the following areas :
- Installing Footing Forms
- Building and Installing Wall and Column Forms
- Building and Installing Structural Deck Forms
- Sets Slab-on-Grade Forms
- Preps and Sets Tilt-up / Precast Forms
- Performs General Labor Duties
