Resident Engineer - Electrical

We are providing supplemental engineering services, including project management and construction management, and commissioning oversight to support a large wastewater infrastructure capital improvement program in Orange County, California.

As a Resident Engineer - Electrical, we need you to have ability to manage complex, technical engineering (wastewater/electrical/I&C) construction projects, lead construction project teams (Assistant REs, Inspectors, Schedulers, etc.); encourage a high degree of teamwork and cooperation with all departments; including stakeholders; lead project team in project decisions regarding technical approaches, cost control, schedule control, change management, risk management, and performance; and identify problems, analyze information and develop sound recommendations. You will act as the primary project interface for the Owner, working with the Owner's Project Manager, designer, contractor, operations and maintenance, and will lead project team in meetings with contractor and stakeholders; and effectively delivering results in a timely manner. You will develop a trusted relationship with the project team, contractor and with the client's staff. You will place an emphasis on safe construction practices (Beyond Zero) and on maintaining a high quality of construction. Lead by example and oversee safe practices on site.

Here's what you'll need:

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical and/or Instrumentation and Controls Engineering preferred
• 10+ years of experience as a Resident Engineer, Project Manager or Construction Manager in an Engineering, Environmental or Construction organization
• 10+ years of construction management experience in the construction of new and/or rehabilitation of wastewater facilities and pipeline projects.
• Strong working knowledge of pre-design and pre-construction, building systems/components and technology, contract management, project delivery methods, team building and client relationship
• Must have valid drivers license with good driving history

Ideally You Will Also Have:

• Professional Engineer (PE) license or CCM

The base salary range for this position is $118,300.00 to $184,900.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
