Systems Engineer – Shape the Future of Mining with Us

Join Our Team at Sandvik

At Sandvik, we are driven by one goal to create innovative solutions that transform industries. We invite you to be part of that journey. As a Systems Engineer, you will design and develop advanced electrical and control systems for battery packs that power mining equipment. Your work will directly influence the future of mining technology, advancing sustainability, improving efficiency, and reducing environmental impact.

We invest in you—your skills, growth, and ideas. If you're ready to take on exciting challenges, work with a dynamic team, and contribute to something that makes a positive impact on the world, we can’t wait to talk to you.

What You’ll Do (and Why You’ll Love It)

In this role, you won’t just be executing tasks—you’ll be shaping the direction of cutting-edge projects and contributing to real-world solutions. Here’s what you’ll be doing and why it’s such a great opportunity:

  • Make an Impact: Design and develop battery and charger control systems. Your ideas will directly shape the future of mining technology, and you'll see the results of your work in action.
  • Stretch Your Skills: Develop and optimize control algorithms, enhancing system efficiency, performance, and reliability. Push your technical skills to the limit and make meaningful improvements.
  • Test & Innovate: Lead the testing and integration of battery control systems, ensuring they meet performance, safety, and regulatory standards. Tinker, test, and refine until we get it just right.
  • Collaborate & Grow: Work closely with engineers from diverse disciplines—electric, mechanical, software, and more—to integrate and optimize electrical systems for mining applications. No silos here—we’re all in this together.
  • Shape the Future: Play a key role in shaping next-gen technologies, including integrating battery systems, high-voltage components, and charging infrastructure that power sustainable mining solutions.

What You Bring (and Why You’re Perfect for Us)

You’re not just looking for a job—you want to be part of a team that values your perspective and challenges you to grow. You bring the skills, passion, and drive to make a real impact. Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • Experience: 3+ years of experience designing electrical systems, ideally for battery systems in automotive or heavy equipment. Experience with high-voltage systems and thermal management is essential.
  • Skills: Expertise in harness design, control systems, and sensor integration. Proficient in CAD tools (e.g., E3, SolidWorks) and simulation software (e.g., Simulink, Python).
  • Education: Degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
  • Passion: Eager to learn and excited about the future of battery technology, especially lithium-ion, solid-state, and mining industry applications. Always curious and motivated to stay ahead of the curve.

What’s in It for You (and Why You’ll Love It Here)

When you join Sandvik, you’re not just joining a company—you’re joining a team that truly values you and your contributions. Here’s what you can expect when you come on board:

  • Great Pay & Benefits: Competitive salary ($91,100 – $113,850), plus medical, dental, vision insurance, and a 401(k) with a company contribution of 5%, along with a matching contribution.
  • Work-Life Balance: Flexible paid time off, 11 paid holidays, 14 weeks of paid parental leave, and wellness programs.
  • Growth & Development: Leadership programs, skills development, and opportunities to advance your career.
  • A Supportive Team: An inclusive, diverse team where everyone’s voice matters. You’ll feel supported, respected, and empowered to bring your best self to work.

Why Sandvik?

At Sandvik, we don’t just build equipment—we build the future. We’re passionate about creating solutions that make a real impact on the industries we serve, and we’re always thinking about what comes next.

When you join Sandvik, you’re joining a global community of innovators. Your ideas will be heard, and your contributions will help solve some of the world’s toughest challenges. You’ll collaborate with forward-thinking engineers, technologists, and problem-solvers who are passionate about making a difference, just like you.

We believe in empowering you to be your best. Whether it’s through continuous learning, global leadership programs, or our commitment to work-life balance, we support your personal and professional growth every step of the way.
