Requirements:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• BLS and ACLS certification required.
• Previous experience in CVU, telemetry, ICU, or critical care preferred.
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
• Knowledge of cardiovascular monitoring, cardiac rhythms, and relevant procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to CVU patients, including pre- and post-procedure monitoring.
• Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, hemodynamic status, and patient response to interventions.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary teams for patient care planning.
• Educate patients and families about cardiovascular conditions, procedures, and discharge instructions.
• Document all patient care accurately and timely in electronic health records.
• Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition, including emergencies.
• Follow CVU policies, protocols, and safety standards.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities.
