Job description

Job Summary


Develop electronic designs from Inception to production in a fast-paced research and development setting. You would be involved in assessment of product requirements, electrical schematic design, hardware selection and validation, PCB design, Firmware development, and product testing and approval. Work on multiple simultaneous projects with a cross-functional team of engineers and designers. Job Description Duties and responsibilities:
  • Develop electronic designs from inception to release
  • Electrical schematic drawings
  • PCB layout design
  • Electrical component selection and utilization
  • Firmware coding and testing
  • Develop product requirements and design specifications
  • Document testing results, research findings, and code functionality
  • Use of debug tools, logic analyzers, and oscilloscopes
  • Understanding and ability to meet compliance and testing requirements
  • PLC programming and testing
  • Supporting manufacturing process controls as needed
Needed experience & technical knowledge:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Two to three years of relevant experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
  • Proficiency in the following Coding Languages: C, C++, and C#
  • Proficiency using GIT version control
  • Knowledge of wiring schematics, various components, and PCB design
  • Ability to work with little supervision
  • Strong work ethic and a desire for excellence
  • Demonstrated ability to work with others in a dynamic team environment
Preferred Skills:
  • Familiarity with embedded Linux development (Yocto Project)
  • Familiarity with PID control logic
  • Understanding of thermodynamics and heat transfer
