A manufacturing organization in the aerospace industry is seeking a Quality Control Inspector with hands-on inspection experience and a strong understanding of Quality Management System (QMS) requirements, including ISO 9001 and AS9100. The ideal candidate will have working knowledge of IPC-A-610, IPC-A-620, and GD&T principles per ASME Y14.5.
In this role, the Quality Control Inspector verifies material and product conformity to internal procedures, industry standards, regulatory requirements, and customer requirements as defined by engineering drawings, standards, and specifications. The position is responsible for performing receiving, in-process, and final inspections, issuing Nonconforming Material Reports (NMRs) when discrepancies are identified, and accurately documenting inspection results within the ERP system and quality records.
This role may require flexibility to support business needs outside of the regular work schedule and will interface, as needed, with customers, suppliers, and regulatory agencies.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
The Quality Control Inspector will:
Perform receiving, in-process, and final inspections of materials, piece parts, subassemblies, and assemblies against acceptance criteria defined by internal procedures, customer requirements, applicable standards, regulatory requirements, and engineering drawings.
Conduct inspections using precision measurement tools and equipment, including rulers, calipers, gauges, and micrometers as applicable.
Collaborate closely with peers and cross-functional teams (e.g., Project Engineering, Quality Engineering, and Manufacturing) to ensure manufacturing and inspection activities comply with established processes and quality requirements.
Communicate effectively with buyers and cross-functional stakeholders regarding supplier quality issues and delivery-related discrepancies.
Accurately complete receiving inspection transactions within the ERP system.
Document and record in-process and final inspection results in manufacturing routers, quality logs, and applicable quality system repositories.
Initiate and document Nonconforming Material Reports (NMRs) in accordance with established procedures and work instructions to ensure proper control of nonconforming material.

Basic Qualifications
Inspection process knowledge with the ability to use standard inspection tools.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
Experience identifying, documenting, and reporting nonconformances within a quality management system that conforms to ISO 9001 and AS9100 requirements.
Three (3) years of quality control inspection experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
Must be a U.S. citizen.
Preferred Qualifications
Associate’s degree or technical certification in Quality, Engineering Technology, Manufacturing, or a related field.
Working knowledge of AS9102 First Article Inspection requirements.
Knowledge of root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
ASQ Certified Quality Inspector.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and 5S.
Proficiency with advanced inspection equipment (e.g., Keyence XM CMM).
Education and Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Three (3) years of quality control inspection experience in a manufacturing or production environment with a Quality Management System structured per ISO 9001/AS9100.
Computer Skills
Intermediate skill level required in:
Microsoft Office applications: Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, and MS Teams.
Adobe Acrobat Reader.
