Job description

We're growing our HVAC team and looking for installers who want steady, year-round work - not seasonal ups and downs or cutting hours during shoulder seasons. If you take pride in doing things the right way and want to be a part of company that's growing quickly and building momentum, we'd love to talk.

Why HVAC Installers Choose Action Air, Plumbing, & Septic:

Perks to Make Your Workday Easier:

  • Full Stocked Installation Trucks & Trailers: Show up ready to install. Our trucks and trailers are stocked and organized so you're not wasting time chasing parts.

  • No Emergency/Holiday Hours: Enjoy your nights and weekends off with no emergency or holiday shifts required. Our installs take place Monday - Friday.

Health and Time-Off Benefits:

  • Health Insurance Stipend: We provide a stipend to help you with medical expenses and connect you with a representative to help you choose the best plan for you and your family.

  • Paid Time Off (PTO): Four (4) weeks of PTO and holiday pay each year so you can rest and recharge.

Career Growth & Financial Rewards:

  • Competitive Pay + Performance Bonuses: Earn $25-30 per hour with opportunities for performance-based commissions.

  • Ongoing Training & Professional Development: We invest in your professional growth with paid training, cross-training opportunities, daily team huddles, and support for gaining new certifications or licenses.

  • Steady Year-Round Work: When you join our team, we're making a commitment to you to provide you with steady, stable employment 12 months out of the year - no cutting hours when things slow down. You'll get at least 40 hours, every week from January to December.

A Positive, Family-Friendly Work Environment:

We value our people-both customers and employees. Join a team that prioritizes kindness, empathy, attention to detail, and professional growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver a Five-Star Install Experience:

  • Show up on time, prepared, and ready to lead a clean, organized install.
  • Protect the customer's home (floors, walls, work areas) and leave it better than you found it.
  • Walk the customer through what to expect and how to use their system before you leave.

Install Systems the Right Way:

  • Install HVAC systems according to manufacturer specs and company standards-not "box swaps."
  • Verify proper airflow, refrigerant charge, electrical connections, and system performance.
  • Ensure all joints, fittings, and connections are secure and leak-free.
  • Complete full system startup and testing before leaving the job.

Lead and Develop your Team:

  • Guide helpers and apprentices throughout the install.
  • Delegate tasks clearly and ensure everyone is contributing.
  • Train team members on proper install techniques, organization, and craftsmanship.

Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of experience in residential HVAC installation.
  • Strong understanding of install practices, airflow, and system setup.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug test.
  • Ability to lift over 50 lbs, bend, stoop, and work in small spaces or fluctuating temperatures.
  • Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on continual improvement.
  • Strong communication skills with both customers and team members.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with ductwork design or modification.
  • Leadership experience or a desire to grow into a leadership role.
  • Experience with high-efficiency and variable speed systems.

Offer of employment is contingent on a criminal background check and drug screen.
