STRUCTURAL ENGINEER - CONCRETE

Highly respected, industry leading Precast Concrete Manufacturer, is looking for an Senior Design/ Structural Engineer to join their dynamic team. This company is a multi-site precast concrete manufacturing looking for candidates who have a desire for career growth and advancement. Candidate has two locations they can opt to be based out of. If you have experience in mentoring others, leading and developing a team, and are looking for a new challenge this opportunity could be for you.

Candidate will be responsible for the design of complex projects while managing the engineering phase of a project interfacing with Project Management, Division, Engineering, the design team, as well as the General Contractor. May also lead less experienced engineers to complete all tasks for a given project.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develops project schedules for the engineering department.
• Provide employees with the proper training, guidance, and motivation for the development of professional skills.
• Responsible for generating designs and drawings for the precast concrete system from construction documents
• Responsible for managing the design and drafting of several projects at a time.
• Interfaces with sales, estimating, project management, and operations as well as the customer to accomplish the generation of an engineering package. Completing submittal and approval of design, supplying plant with details and information for fabrication, supplying erector with plans and information for construction, and resolving any conflicts, issues, or questions that may arise in these areas.
• Supports the Sales Department by providing technical assistance.
• Responsible for ensuring field inspections on projects are performed which include writing Observation Reports along with development and tracking of field repairs.
• Works with the Engineering Manager to generate monthly revenue reports and reviews costs as required.
• Computer literacy Word, Excel, Autocad, Revit, and other Precast/Prestress Design software

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

• Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Missouri, or able to obtain through the process of reciprocity
• 2 years minimum structural/ precast concrete experience
• Knowledge of Manufacturing Processes
