TITLE: Manufacturing Engineer with ACTIVE Secret Clearance (US Citizenship REQUIRED) RATE RANGE: $50/hr - $100/hr W2 (no health benefits/no paid PTO while on contract, an hour worked is an hour paid) LOCATION: Onsite in Palmdale, CA 93550 (no relocation package) DURATION: 12+ months SECURITY CLEARANCE: Active Secret Security clearance issued by the Department of Defense *** No C2C, we can NOT work with outside agencies/vendors, and we can NOT do 1099-US CITIZENSHIP IS REQUIRED *** JOB DESCRIPTION: Performs in a collaborative environment to develop and implement manufacturing processes and procedures for assemblies and equipment installation. Drives adoption of new technologies and processes (automation, robotics, computer aided manufacturing software, etc.) to achieve greater efficiency, cost reduction and quality improvement. Creates and analyzes 3D based model data environment to optimize manufacturing process and digital work instructions. Leverages understanding of materials and automatic processes to define operations procedures and build sequences to drive operational excellence. Evaluates performance (including IoT devices, etc.) of equipment and tools to verify their efficiency and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure operational excellence. Leverages factory data to develop statistical process control approaches and integrates reporting and data analytics solutions for continuous improvement. Provides input to product design regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques. REQUIRED SKILLS: Must have experience specifically in Vehicle systems (not structures, not composites) Aviation experience required Experience in a manufacturing environment working cross functionally with other disciplines including industrial engineering, planning, scheduling, Quality Assurance &/or production planning Experience with some combination of the following: experience with manufacturing processes and procedures including: assembly, machining, and electrical in several disciplines including metallics, machining, electrical harness fabrication and routing, systems installations, &/or final assembly operations.
