Responsibilities Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center – Opening in 5!
When open in early 5, Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center GW Health will be the first new full-service hospital in Washington, DC in more than years, integrating clinical care with existing community providers, Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC’s), The George Washington University Hospital, and our Urgent Care Center in Ward 8. This integrated delivery system will establish a robust network of care for all District residents, but more importantly, it will ensure residents of Wards 7 and 8 have access to high quality care in their community. This full-service hospital will include beds (with the ability to expand to beds), a verified trauma center, adult and pediatric emergency departments, maternal health and newborn delivery, an ambulatory pavilion for clinic visits and other outpatient services, a -car garage and a helipad for emergency transport.
We are seeking a Manager – Engineering/Plant Operations:
Our ideal candidate will work under the Director and will be responsible for oversight day-to-day management of the repairs and maintenance of an acute care hospital, assisting in the management of federal and local regulatory requirements for the hospital, including but not limited to fire safety, emergency management, emergency power, HVAC and plumbing. Managing maintenance, trade staff, contractors and vendors. Performs other duties as assigned/required.

Qualifications Requirements:
- 5+ years' management experience in hands-on operational roles within healthcare facilities and/or healthcare facilities emergency management.
- Associate’s degree or above in an applicable field.
- Graduation from a technical or trade school.
- Journeyman’s license or above.
- DC 3rd Class Engineer’s license or ability to obtain within one year of hire.
- CHFM, CHEP, and/or CHSP preferred
- Experience in emergency management, incident command and emergency management drills preferred.
- Experience reporting to DC government regulating bodies. (DOH, DOB, DDOE and Fire Marshall) preferred.
Skills:
- A proven track record of successful Facilities Management or Emergency Management leadership experience
- Strong technical knowledge of the following: mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, structural, life safety systems, architectural, landscape and energy management
- Demonstrated business and financial acumen with budget experience
