The successful candidate will be a technical leader, capable of guiding engineering work while elevating team capability. In addition to overseeing day-to-day engineering execution, this role leads strategic projects and customer-driven initiatives, ensuring alignment across engineering, operations, and commercial teams. The Engineering Manager is accountable for delivering high-quality product design outcomes that meet business, regulatory, and customer expectations, while continuously improving engineering processes and effectiveness.

  • Take ownership of strategic, high-visibility engineering projects, driving execution clarity, pace, and accountability.
  • Contribute to new product development (NPD) initiatives while applying a structured product development approach (stage-gate or equivalent) to manage progression from concept to commercialization.
  • Support the full product lifecycle, including enhancements, cost reductions, and sustainment engineering.
  • Lead execution of product design, prototyping, validation, and regulatory approval activities.
  • Serve as the technical escalation point for complex engineering challenges, with a practical understanding of manufacturing constraints.
  • Ensure engineering deliverables meet applicable standards, quality expectations, and customer requirements.
  • Cross-Functional Alignment & Process Improvement
  • Champion scalable processes, including design control, ECM/ECO, and NPD governance where applicable.
  • Drive improvements in engineering workflows, documentation quality, and design standards.
  • Partner with Operations to support production readiness, tooling development, and manufacturability.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, and Marketing to provide technical support for customer-facing activities.
  • Apply lean principles to improve efficiency, quality, and repeatability across engineering.
  • Customer & Field Engagement
  • Engage with customers, job sites, and industry events to provide technical expertise and gather feedback.
  • Act as a technical representative of the company in external engagements when required.
