Job description

Logistics Management Specialist

The Opportunity: CACI is seeking a logistics management personnel to perform professional-level logistics management functions supporting programs and operations. This role is responsible for overseeing inventory, internal distribution, transportation coordination, and disposition activities. The position emphasizes independent judgment, analytical decision-making, and coordination with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance, accountability, and operational efficiency. The personnel will manage and analyze inventory and shipping data, develop logistics solutions, and ensure accurate tracking of shipments. Responsibilities:

  • Manage logistics documentation, records, and reporting related to inventory transactions, shipping, receiving, and asset accountability.
  • Analyze inventory levels and logistics requirements to support planning, forecasting, and operational decision-making.
  • Utilize ERP management system (e.g., Infor, or similar platforms) to track, reconcile, and report inventory status.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Coordinate shipment transportation activities ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Review shipping classifications, documentation, and regulatory requirements to ensure proper handling, labeling, and transportation compliance.
  • Prepare and submit logistics recommendations based on technical input, operational needs, and program priorities.
  • Support audits, inventories, and compliance reviews by providing data analysis, documentation, and subject-matter expertise.
  • Collaborate with engineering, technical, program, and government teams to align logistics planning with mission and operational requirements.
  • Provide professional guidance and oversight related to material handling activities when required, ensuring safe and compliant execution.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Professional experience in logistics management, inventory control, or supply chain operations.
  • Knowledge of shipping processes, documentation, and coordination requirements.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience using an ERP management system (e.g., Infor, or similar platforms).
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to independently manage multiple priorities and exercise sound judgment in complex logistics environments.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to coordinate with cross-functional and government stakeholders.

Desired:

  • Familiarity with export/import considerations and working with transportation providers in a global logistics.
  • Infor inventory management software experience.
  • Proficiency in operating forklift.

Pay Range:

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
