Entry level mining engineer [h1.location_city]

United Plastic Fabricating is the industry leader in the manufacture of plastic water tanks for the fire industry. In addition, we design and manufacture a variety of products for the industrial and transportation markets.

As an entry level engineer you could work in any of these disciplines and / or rotate through each for training :

Sales Engineer, Quality Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, Design Engineer.

Assists in preparation of preliminary outlines, layouts and sketches for sales quotes. Assist customers with questions such as design feasibility and volume calculations. Evaluates new orders for manufacturability / warranty concerns. Receive, examine and enter sales orders to verify completeness and accuracy of data and manufacturability. Review and resolve any previously reported issues prior to releasing.

Provide engineering and assurance to ensure products are produced to meet customer requirements and expectations. Work in conjunction with other business and engineering disciplines using a cross-functional approach to ensure new / improved and current products and processes are in compliance with applicable quality management systems, and standards.

Works cross-functionally to capture and communicate information for possible design and manufacturability concerns or opportunities.

Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning work flow, space requirements and equipment layout. Develop fixtures, and automate, semi-automate processes.

Develop manufacturing processes by studying product requirements, researching, designing, modifying and testing manufacturing methods, equipment and material handling conveyance.

Assure product and process quality by designing testing methods, process capabilities, establishing standards and confirming manufacturing processes.

Perform data gathering and historical trending for continuous improvement.

Requirements

BS Degree in Engineering

CAD and drafting skills.

Excellent mechanical aptitude necessary
