Minimum Experience: 5 years; 1st Timers are accepted Patient Population: Neonates to Geriatrics Certifications Required: Board Eligible by the American Board of Radiology in Therapeutic Radiation Physics; Ability to be listed as an authorized medical physicist on State of Georgia Radioactive Material License; Participation in the American Board of Radiology Maintenance of Certification Program General Skills and Work Setting Requirements: Provides physics services related to the planning and delivery of therapeutic radiation treatment in accordance with the Radiation Oncologist's prescription. Provides technical leadership including clinical set-up expertise to radiation oncologists, dosimetrists and therapists. Performs quality assurance checks according to regulatory requirements and industry standards for all department equipment. Ratio / Census: 30 per LINAC Unit Systems: Epic (Preferred), ARIA EMR/ Varian LINAC Experience Scrub Color: Not specified RTO: MAX 7 days Weekends: Every other weekend unless otherwise specified Floating: Yes, within facility/scope of practice as needed Call Requirements: Not specified Holidays: If one major holiday falls in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays fall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work both of the holidays. If three major holidays fall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of the holidays. Major Holidays are listed below: Memorial Day Independence Day Labor Day Thanksgiving/Black Friday Christmas Eve/Christmas Day New Years Eve/New Years Day Compliance: Full compliance required to start on time; if not compliant in time the push back is 2 weeks due to bi-weekly orientation schedule. CLINICAL SCREEN - Candidate will be reviewed by clinical to determine clinical fit, if clinical pass and within Piedmont guidelines, candidate will be sent to the manager for final decision. Clinical screens will be sent on case-by-case basis. Locals Accepted - Same Rate Please Note: Number of Non-Billable Orientation (NBO) Hours is determined by contract length (ex 8hrs for 8 week assignment; 19hrs for 19 week assignment)
