The Zone Specialist (ZS) assists customers and helps maintain the store appearance. The ZS is responsible for all aspects of customer service, merchandising, and store maintenance, with a primary focus on their assigned store zone.
Primary responsibilities include merchandising in the assigned zone, assisting with training new Zone Specialists, maintaining the assigned zone in a neat and organized fashion, assisting with pricing items, merchandising product, and recovering the store, communicating customer needs to Team Leaders when necessary, maintaining the cleanliness of the overall store, and completing any additional responsibilities and/or duties as assigned.
Qualifications include a minimum of six months' retail experience in a mid-size to large retail service-oriented business, the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays on a regular basis, effective communication skills, sound judgment, confidentiality, accuracy, attention to detail, the ability to organize and prioritize tasks, knowledge of industry terms and processes, outstanding interpersonal and listening skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to interact well with customers and Associates.
Physical requirements include the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, push and pull up to 35 pounds, stand for extended periods, bend and twist frequently, grip, reach, and pinch with arms and hands frequently, squat, kneel, balance, and climb ladders occasionally, and work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
