JOB SUMMARY

As a Host / Hostess at Denny's, you will be responsible for greeting and seating customers, receiving payments, and assisting service personnel to ensure customer satisfaction.

JOB FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES

• Greet and welcome customers immediately upon arrival, verifying the number in their party and determining any special needs
• Collect payment from customers in accordance with established cash handling procedures and handle customer complaints / suggestions appropriately
• Seat customers at tables / booths appropriate for their needs and those of the restaurant
• Handle incoming phone calls promptly
• Maintain a proper supply of menus and ensure they are clean and in good repair
• Provide customers with initial beverage orders and refill their beverages when possible
• Assist service personnel in cleaning and setting tables as needed
• Maintain a clean and organized waiting area and register area
• Must be courteous, friendly, and present a professional image at all times
• Embody and promote company values

ACCOUNTABILITIES

Ensure customers are greeted and seated in a pleasant and courteous manner, following company timing standards. Ask guests about their dining experience and invite them to return. Handle guest check transactions properly to balance the register totals at the end of the shift.
