Website Implementation Manager

Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, and Washington D.C., is hiring a Website Implementation Manager in Richmond, Virginia. The Website Implementation Manager is responsible for developing and executing Carter Machinery's website strategies, including the planning, organizing, and managing of marketing functions to achieve the company's objectives of sales, market share growth, profitability, and visibility in alignment with corporate strategy and business units. The Website Implementation Manager will reclaim majority ownership of the websites from external agencies and oversee the revamp and implementation of the website refresh / redesign. The individual in this role will work closely with the program teams and identify how to best target individual LOB needs with consideration to overall consistency and optimize web performance, to include email campaigns. Seeking candidates with a bachelor's degree with 8 years of web design management, data science, marketing analytics, or equivalent experience, MBA preferred. Program management experience and ability to be a change agent while managing tight deadlines. Experience with optimizing large Paid Search budgets. Experience with Co-Branding optimizations.

Requirements for the Website Implementation Manager position include :

  • Proficient in marketing automation platforms, CRM systems, and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics GA4, Wordpress, etc.).
  • Strong grasp of performance optimization tactics, including Paid media, SEO and SEM.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively convey ideas and build relationships. Able to collaborate with all departments to align marketing strategies with business goals and customer needs.
  • Able to apply independent thought, gather insights to solve problems, and present data-driven information to senior leadership to drive critical business decisions and change.
  • Ensure compliance with Carter Machinery's and Caterpillar's brand standards.
  • Proven leadership and team management capabilities, with a track record of inspiring and motivating teams to achieve goals.
  • Must be willing to travel, including overnight trips.

Essential Duties for the Website Implementation Manager position include :

  • Create, execute, and optimize comprehensive marketing strategies to enhance brand presence, drive customer acquisition, and increase revenue.
  • Oversee all digital marketing channels, including SEO, SEM, social media, email marketing, and content marketing to ensure cohesive and effective campaigns.
  • Design and implement marketing automation workflows and processes to streamline and enhance marketing efforts, ensuring personalized and efficient customer communication. To include email marketing.
  • Utilize analytics tools to measure campaign performance, generate insights, and provide detailed reports to inform decision-making and strategy adjustments.
  • Work closely with SMEs & IT to understand systems and data points applicable to each site and advise on areas of opportunity and collaboration to ensure global consistency is maintained while supporting localized marketing needs.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing marketing team, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and excellence.
  • Serve as an enterprise-wide web design and analytics resource and knowledge manager.
  • Work closely with sales, product development, and customer service teams to align marketing strategies with business goals and customer needs.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to keep company at forefront of marketing innovation, interfacing with IT.
  • Bring industry best practices, analytical frameworks, process improvement tools, methodologies, and structured problem-solving techniques to table.
  • Apply independent thought, connect the dots, and gather insights to solve problems then present to leadership.
  • Pressure-test our current wireframes and methods, find leaks and present solutions.
  • Own and Drive performance tracking standardizations, including pixel placements, UTMs, etc.
  • Work collaboratively with social media / online presence team members to maximize ROI on search efforts.
  • Ensure compliance with Carter's and Caterpillar's brand standards.
  • Develop and manage external relationships as partners vs. merely vendors or suppliers.
  • Work in coordination with the team to achieve Continuous Improvement goals and objectives.
  • Own constant maintenance of web pages with easily tracked and documented progress markers.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

    • Supervisory Responsibilities for the Website Implementation Manager position include :

  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

    • Physical requirements must be met for the Website Implementation Manager position. The employee is regularly required to sit, stand, talk or listen. Able to lift, carry and maneuver items up to 20 pounds in weight. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.
