Job Description
Tensley Consulting is seeking an Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to support cybersecurity engineering and information assurance activities across secure mission systems and network environments. The ISSE provides technical expertise supporting system security engineering, vulnerability assessments, risk mitigation, and secure architecture implementation across computing environments and classified network infrastructures. This role works closely with system engineers, cybersecurity engineers, ISSOs, and government stakeholders to ensure mission systems are designed, implemented, and maintained in accordance with DoD and Intelligence Community cybersecurity standards. The ISSE supports the full system lifecycle, including security architecture design, system integration, risk management, security assessment, and accreditation activities to ensure mission systems meet government cybersecurity and compliance requirements.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security Systems Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
Seven (7) years of experience supporting Information Systems Security Engineering, cybersecurity engineering, or system security engineering activities on programs of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
Four (4) years of additional cybersecurity or information assurance experience may be substituted in place of the degree.
DoD 8570 compliance with IASAE Level II certification is required.
Salary: $160,000-$185,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position, but is not guaranteed. Salary is based on experience, location and contractual requirements which could fall outside of the range listed.
