Position Summary

The Inventory Analyst is responsible for supporting inventory accuracy, integrity, and optimization across the supply chain. This role partners closely with operations, logistics, finance, and external service providers to analyze inventory transactions, identify discrepancies, and drive corrective actions. The Inventory Analyst plays a key role in divisional inventory-related projects, system reconciliations, and root cause analysis to ensure alignment between physical inventory and system records.

Key Responsibilities

The Inventory Analyst will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

  • Support divisional projects related to inventory analysis, process improvement, and system enhancements.
  • Review, analyze, and correct inventory transactions between the North America Hub (managed by Ryder) and PeopleSoft ERP systems to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
  • Monitor inventory movements, adjustments, and reconciliations across ERP and WMS platforms.
  • Perform root cause analysis for inventory discrepancies, shortages, overages, and transactional errors; recommend and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Collaborate with supply chain, warehouse operations, finance, and third-party logistics providers to resolve inventory issues.
  • Support cycle count programs, physical inventories, and audit activities as required.
  • Develop and maintain inventory reports, dashboards, and KPIs to support business decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with inventory control policies, accounting standards, and internal controls.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance inventory accuracy, visibility, and operational efficiency.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to team members where applicable and support cross-functional training efforts.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in inventory control and inventory analysis.
  • Strong supply chain knowledge gained through multiple roles and perspectives (e.g., logistics, planning, warehousing, manufacturing).
  • Expert-level user of ERP and/or WMS systems, with a strong focus on inventory modules and transaction management.
  • Experience in accounting, record-keeping, and/or inventory management practices.
  • Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to perform detailed root cause analysis and implement sustainable solutions.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, a technical field, or a related discipline (required).
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in supply chain, logistics, inventory control, or material planning within a manufacturing or distribution environment.
  • Minimum of 1+ year of people management or team leadership experience.

Desired Qualifications

  • APICS certification (CPIM, CSCP, or equivalent) preferred.
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma and/or Lean Manufacturing principles.

Work Schedule & Flexibility

  • Exempt position working approximately 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
  • Flexibility required to support project assignments and occasional off-shift activities.
  • Approximately 80% work-from-home arrangement.

The range for this position is $74,359.00 - $102,244.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
