Overview:

They deliver practical, credible and defensible results offering actionable insights by applying data-driven and analytics-based approaches in combination with multidisciplinary talent, subject matter experts, and tangible and repeatable assets in the form of databases, models, approaches and techniques.

The employee-owners pride themselves on their ability to apply discipline, accountability, and innovative thinking to solve complex operational and compliance challenges that enable the firm to securely perform on some of the most sensitive work across the Department of Defense, Department of Energy, and Intelligence Community.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the appointed Facility Security Officer (FSO) responsible for administering the company’s industrial security program in accordance with the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) under the National Industrial Security Program (NISP) and NISPOM (32 CFR Part 117)
  • Maintain the company’s Facility Clearance (FCL) in good standing and implement safeguarding requirements associated with classified contracts and DD254s
  • Manage personnel security clearances, indoctrinations, debriefings, visit requests, SCI access, and badging requirements across DoD, DOE, and Intelligence Community customers using DISS and NISS
  • Oversee construction, accreditation, and maintenance of closed areas and secure spaces in accordance with ICD 705
  • Own the company’s compliance with DFARS 252.204-7012 safeguarding requirements and CMMC Level 2 practices for Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI)
  • Maintain and administer classified document control, accountability, marking, transmission, reproduction, destruction, and inventory in accordance with NISPOM requirements
  • Define security control requirements for CUI and classified environments and partner with the IT Manager for technical implementation, monitoring, and evidence collection
  • Serve as the Insider Threat Program Senior Official (ITPSO) or support the program through monitoring, reporting, and training activities
  • Conduct annual self-inspections and prepare the organization for DCSA Security Vulnerability Assessments (SVAs), CMMC assessments, DOE reviews, and customer security inspections
  • Lead incident response activities for any suspected compromise involving classified information or CUI in coordination with IT and leadership
  • Develop and deliver annual security training, new hire briefings, and ongoing security awareness communications
  • Serve as the primary liaison to DCSA Industrial Security Representatives (ISRs), DOE security officials, Intelligence Community security personnel, and customer security offices
  • Support proposal efforts requiring security plans, safeguarding approaches, and classified contract startup activities
  • Apply highly effective communication skills and work effectively with IT, HR, Contracts, and Operations to foster a compliant and security-focused work environment across the organization
  • Apply leadership skills and the ability to manage competing priorities, multiple tasks, and regulatory requirements in a fast-paced GovCon environment

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in security management, information assurance, cybersecurity, or related discipline
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in an FSO, ISSO, Security Manager, or similar role within a cleared DoD, DOE, or Intelligence Community environment
  • Deep understanding of NISPOM, ICD 705, DFARS 252.204-7012, and NIST SP 800-171 requirements
  • Hands-on experience preparing for and supporting DCSA SVAs and CMMC assessments
  • Experience managing secure spaces, classified safeguarding requirements, and personnel clearance processes
  • Experience building and maintaining SSPs, POA&Ms, policies, and audit artifacts
  • Ability to translate regulatory security requirements into practical procedures and technical controls in partnership with IT
  • Ability to think analytically, proactively identify risk, and implement practical solutions to mitigate compliance gaps
  • Ability to precisely and concisely communicate complex security requirements verbally and in written products
  • Active TOP SECRET Clearance (SCI eligibility strongly preferred)
  • Completion of DCSA FSO training for Possessing Facilities preferred
  • Experience supporting DOE and Intelligence Community security requirements preferred
