Job description

KeHE Senior Analyst, Strategic Sourcing

At KeHE, we're obsessed with creating solutions, unboxing potential, and serving others and it all starts with you. As an employee-owned distributor of natural and organic, specialty, and fresh products, we're committed to making a positive impact and scaling our success together. With a culture that fosters development and opportunity, you'll be embarking on a career that's moving forward. When you join KeHE, you're becoming part of a team that is a force for good.

Primary Responsibilities

The Senior Analyst, Strategic Sourcing delivers analytics, reporting, and insights that support strategic sourcing initiatives and supplier cost management. This role develops dashboards and analytical tools using internal purchasing, pricing, sales, and market data to identify sourcing opportunities, evaluate supplier competitiveness, and quantify risks and savings. Serving as a key business partner to Strategic Sourcing, Commercial Sales, Supplier & Category Management, Pricing, and Business Development, the analyst translates complex data into actionable recommendations that improve acquisition costs, strengthen supplier negotiations, and protect market share. Success in this role requires strong analytical skills, business acumen, data visualization expertise, and a proactive approach to prioritizing cost-saving and risk-mitigation opportunities. As with all positions at KeHE Distributors, we expect that all actions will be consistent with KeHE's Mission, Vision, and Values.

Essential Functions

DUTIES, TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and maintain analytics, dashboards, and reporting tools that evaluate supplier, brand, and item-level competitiveness across KeHE's product portfolio.
  • Leverage Cost Competitiveness tools, SPINS data, landed cost information, competitive pricing intelligence, and internal purchasing data to identify sourcing opportunities, cost savings initiatives, and supplier-related risks.
  • Analyze supplier and category performance to identify cost competitiveness gaps, market share growth opportunities, supplier concentration risks, and direct-to-retailer conversion risks.
  • Monitor supplier cost changes and pricing trends, identifying significant increases, category outliers, historical pricing patterns, and other factors requiring sourcing action.
  • Quantify and prioritize sourcing opportunities based on savings potential, business impact, customer implications, and risk mitigation.
  • Build and maintain Power BI dashboards, KPI reporting, and executive-level scorecards that provide visibility into supplier competitiveness, acquisition costs, savings pipelines, and sourcing performance.
  • Support supplier negotiations and sourcing strategies through financial modeling, market intelligence, competitive cost analysis, and opportunity sizing.
  • Partner with Strategic Sourcing, Supplier & Category Management, Pricing, Merchandising, Finance, and Data teams to develop insights, investigate cost drivers, and implement sourcing recommendations.
  • Present findings, recommendations, and business cases to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to support strategic decision-making.
  • Drive continuous improvement through automation, enhanced data accessibility, improved reporting reliability, and documentation of business rules, processes, and methodologies.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

Minimum Requirements, Qualifications, Additional Skills, Aptitude

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:

  • Proficiency in Power BI (dashboard development, data visualization, reporting) and automation tools to improve efficiency and accessibility of business insights, along with understanding of data modeling, reporting frameworks, and governance principles.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis techniques.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills to organize, analyze, and interpret large datasets, identifying trends, cost drivers, pricing anomalies, and sourcing/supplier risks.
  • Knowledge of sourcing, procurement, supplier management, pricing, and cost management concepts, with strong business acumen to quantify opportunities and prioritize recommendations based on value creation.
  • Ability to develop fact-based, data-driven recommendations, backed by exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with strong attention to detail, cross-functional collaboration, and a commitment to data accuracy.
  • High level of professionalism and integrity, with the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Finance, Accounting or related field required.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in financial, commercial, or operational analytics, preferably within food distribution, retail, or consumer goods.
  • Experience building dashboards and analytical tools using Power BI or similar business intelligence platforms.
  • Experience leveraging automation tools and reporting technologies to improve efficiency, accuracy, and accessibility of business insights.
