The people who call Moore Family Law Group aren't just looking for a lawyer. They're looking for someone who will listen, understand what's at stake, and help them take the next step with confidence. As the Client Relations/Development Specialist (aka Client Engagement Specialist), that someone is you.
This is a relationship-first role: part consultative sales, part client care, part community presence. You'll be the bridge between people navigating one of the hardest chapters of their lives and the legal team best positioned to guide them through it. If you have the emotional intelligence to meet people where they are and the professional presence to earn their trust quickly, we want to talk.
Compensation:
$25 - $30 hourly plus incentives
Responsibilities:
The Client Relations/Development Specialist sits at the intersection of client experience and firm growth. The person who turns an inquiry into a relationship and a relationship into a retained client.
Client Consultations & Engagement
Meet with prospective new clients (PNCs) to understand their situation, answer their questions, and help them feel informed and supported from the very first conversation
Clearly articulate with confidence, compassion, and zero pressure how Moore Family Law Group can help clients achieve their goals
Provide a calm, professional presence during one of the most stressful moments in a person's life
Guide prospective clients through the engagement process and prepare them to take the next step with the firm
In accordance with California State Bar ethical rules, this role does not provide legal advice or execute legal services agreements. All agreements must be reviewed and executed by a licensed California attorney.
Client Conversion & Relationship Management
Communicate the value of working with Moore Family Law Group in a way that is honest, compelling, and client-centered, never pushy
Maintain consistent, thoughtful follow-up with prospective clients who aren't yet ready to move forward; relationships take time, and we play the long game
Track and report key metrics including inquiries, consultations, and retained clients to support data-driven growth decisions
Ensure every prospective client receives timely responses and a level of service that reflects who we are as a firm
Marketing & Community Engagement
Represent Moore Family Law Group at networking events, community activities, and professional gatherings with polish and purpose
Cultivate relationships with referral partners, professionals, and community members who align with the clients we serve
Support marketing initiatives designed to increase the firm's visibility and expand its client base
Actively contribute to the firm's growth strategy by strengthening our presence in the communities we serve
Qualifications:
Who You Are
You don't need to have worked in a law firm to thrive in this role. But you do need to be the kind of person who connects quickly, communicates clearly, and genuinely cares about the people in front of you. The right candidate is confident without being aggressive, empathetic without losing focus, and driven without needing to be managed.
What You Bring
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills: read a room, adjust your approach, and make people feel heard within minutes of meeting them
High emotional intelligence and genuine compassion for people navigating difficult, high-stakes personal decisions
The ability to guide prospective clients toward a decision with confidence and honesty (never pressure, never a script)
A polished, professional presence that reflects the caliber of clients we serve and the firm we've built
Strong relationship-building instincts and the follow-through to back them up (you don't let things fall through the cracks)
A self-starter mindset with clear personal goals and the discipline to hit them
Solid organizational skills and a commitment to timely, consistent follow-up
Background & Experience
There's no single path to this role. Our strongest candidates often come from backgrounds where consultative sales and high-touch client relationships are the norm. Think:
Legal intake or client services
Real estate
Financial services or wealth management
Luxury retail or high-end sales
Professional or business services
A bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience is preferred. Life experience counts here too: resilience, perspective, and the ability to sit with someone in a hard moment and still move them forward are qualities we take seriously and can't always teach.
